German-American School Manhattan Reviews
The teachers are compassionate and effective. They often use a multisensory approach and always differentiate so every child is met at his/her level. The dual language program has worked very well for our son, as he is fluent in both German and English. The teachers also create a nurturing learning environment and sense of community. As a multiracial/ethnic family, inclusion is something we value greatly. Our son is extremely happy and confident, with a great sense of belonging in the classroom.
GSM maintains small class sizes and rigorous COVID-19 health measures, allowing them to remain fully open for in-person learning since September 2020. Interacting with teachers and children in a real classroom has been invaluable to our son's academic, social and emotional development. We feel incredibly lucky that his learning was never disrupted during the pandemic.
