My experience with Rochester Community Schools has been an overall good experience. However, I feel these schools were lacking diversity. Many of the students I have encountered did not try to understand situations from other perspectives and were quick to judge. I realize this is more of the parent's problem but if our schools tried to incorporate more ethnicities, maybe the students wouldn't have been as rude or quick to judge.
I feel that RCS is a great overall community that works towards promoting the safety, well-being, and education of all students! They promote school spirit with our sports games and theater productions. They also strive to make sure that all students thrive academically, and if students are in need of extra assistance, then they give them more than enough resources to help them succeed!
Very well thought out curriculum at all grade levels, amazing technology that's constantly advancing, good teachers that go out of their way to assist those that need it and advance those who don't. Good school-sanctioned clubs for those interested in niche areas not available in the curriculum.
