Pierce county high school is all around a great school. It is the best School system in southeast Georgia.
I like that a lot of the teachers take into consideration what a child might be going through at home but there are also teachers and administration who play favorites. If the "favorite" is bullying another student the "favorite" gets away with no punishment. However, the student being bullied is typically the one who ends up punished. I saw this happen over and over and over while I attended Pierce County High School. I don't believe this will ever be something that changes. The one very positive thing I can say however, is I never felt unsafe while at school.
The experience at Pierce county high school was that you always had someone to help you though the rough times to make you successful for the future. The teachers where always about learning and making sure you understood everything, if you did not comprehend the subject or course, they would explain it in a different way one on one studying. Couple of things that I really enjoyed being a student at Pierce County High School was everyone was always encouraging other in clubs, sports and even what grade they got on their test finals. Pierce County High School was so focus on the future for there students attending was that they had move on when ready program that allowed juniors and seniors to attend college class to get a jump start on the career, they had their dreams on. The changes I would like to see in the future from being a student there would be more college core classes being a focus in the junior and senior for the students that had difficulties in that class.
