During my experience at Northfield High School I had best and worst parts of my experience, as most would. The best part of my experience was definitely all of the connections I made. I felt I bonded with peers and teachers a ton and I still have those connections even today. Another highlight would be my teammates. In high school sports are a big deal to student athletes, but nothing is better than having support from teammates and coaches. I played basketball, tennis, and golf so I got to experience this in many different ways and each one was so fun and rewarding. The worst part about my high school experience was that it took place during a time of covid. Having to do school remotly is exhausting and I know teachers worked extremely hard but it ws just not the same as in person. Also the cafeteria food. I know it's somewhat out of their control but the portion size was not accomidating for all students. Overall if I had to do my high school expereince over again I would!
Overall, have enjoyed my academic career at Northfield High School. With great teachers and classes, I feel that I have been well prepared for my college education.
Northfield has a fantastic Arts program, it provides funding not seen in many other public schools. It is however severely lacking from an athletic standpoint, there is no track, ice arena, or pool along with many other things. The building is really outdated as well. That being said the staff at Northfield are fantastic. I think I only truly had one or two teachers I disliked throughout my time here and I think most of them really do care about their students and their well-being.
