This is a pretty good school, but it is also very big. This is a problem because that means that you are very unlikely to have two classes with one person, which makes it harder to actually connect with people.
If you take advanced classes, the experience is different because there are less people in those classes, so the group is more tight knit. It would be very helpful if the counselors let you and your friends be in the same classes or let you change what period you have a class to be with your friends, but they have policies specifically against that.

North Allegheny is effective in preparing students for the changing world. In general, teachers are willing to assists students when they are struggling and aim to help everyone succeed.
Particularly for the high school, school teachers including upper level administrators are in general very authoritative, trying to just stick to the school policy with lack of flexibility regardless of what the circumstances are. I could not feel that students are well taken care of by teachers/school; rather felt that students are likely being ruled by teachers.
