AS A STUDENT WHO SPENT THE A LARGE PORTION OF THEIR YEARS ENROLLED IN THE MONOE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT I GOT PLENTY OF FAIR SHARES OF UP'S, AND DOWNS. MIDDLE SCHOOL WAS A STRUGGLE. AS A STUDENT THERE WERE FEW TEACHERS TO RELY ON AS A "FRIEND." THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL I ATTENDED WAS VERY PUSHY WITH BELIEFS ON CHILDREN. THIS WAS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. NOW, I AM FINISHING AT MARY PERSONS HIGHLY SCHOOL. MARY PERSONS HAS AMAZING STAFF AND EVEN AS A STUDENT WHO WHINES, THERE POLICY IS GREAT. THE FACILTY IS OUTDATED AND DISGUSTING THOUGH. I HOPE MARY PERSONS SOON GETS CLEANED UP.
As a senior I've spent 9 years at Mary Persons. The teachers are extremely caring. Their work goes beyond a classroom. They treat you as if you were one of their own kids. They get to know each and everyone of their students. Beyond the staff its overall a good environment. I know I can come to school each and everyday feeling safe. Knowing if anything was to happen everyone would be prepared.
This school is very nice and seems to actually care about the students. The staff there shows a genuine effort to push the students to graduate. They give out so much help to each and every student. One thing I particularly don’t like about the school system is that it’s a little too much on the stricter side of things. If any “senior pranks” have happened, they would immediately be punished when it’s a tradition. Overall, it’s a good, nice school to go to.
