I love my school district and have been in this district since I moved here in 4th grade. Some of my favorite things in this school district is the musical involvement they give kids. I participated in choir in 4th grade, I was in band from 5th to 8th grade and in orchestra from 6th to 12th grade. However, like any other school district, we have our problems. During my middle and high school years, the district has struggled with drug, violence, and racism. My high school went under a lock down because of a malfunction and was in if for over three hours. Even so, my school district has done it's best to not only work past it, but make it so the student have a better and brighter future. When Chaska High School was struggling with black-face and racism, they send in a team to help the teachers work out the problem and find ways to make school better. As a result, our district now celebrates an annual Culture night to celebrate all cultures. My district knows how to learn and grow.
The teachers at school are simply good for what ever class you chose. With many languages and interesting trades you can try out. Our theater and sports programs are very inclusive and top in our divisions. All reasons why CHS is a great school.
I really enjoyed my experience at CHS. I made lots of friends and the teachers were very supportive. The only problems I had were that the School made it very difficult for the students to flex out of the building. Additionally, the school had some problems with racism.
