CBSD has been a supportive community as I have pursued my elementary, middle, and now, high school, education in this area. They have flourished into a district that values cultural diversity; however, administration has not prioritized other types of diversity-inclusion. Over the past couple of years, students have firmly spoken out about CBSD's lack of support for the LGBTQ+ community, but, to no avail, no change has been made to support students that identify or ally with this community. Even though I myself identify as straight, watching my friends and peers have to hide their true selves has been upsetting. I strongly believe that every individual has the right to free expression and can be who they want, wherever they want. The scrutinizing eyes of Central Bucks has harmed the self-confidence of hundreds of students - I hope to see a change in the hearts of administration for the betterment of their own student's well-being.
Ever since COVID, I think it has been difficult for schools to make the adjustment back into "normal" days. They were teaching less content during that time, and I feel like many teachers have continued to teach the limited amount of content. Giving students the greatest learning exposure before heading to college or higher education is crucial. I feel as if my siblings who are around 10 years older than me got better educations in the same district. Our grades struggle and are overwhelmed with the simple task of writing an 5 page essay when my sister had to write several 30-page papers in college. While many teachers are very influential, some seem burnt out and not excited to teach their content. Those teachers with passion and energy are the ones kid's learn most from. Overall, I love my school and have had good experiences with it, but I do think that it is slowly going downhill.
Cbw has been great to me with not only academic but the community. I would recommend this school to younger generations that are looking at the best high school in central bucks. Not to put any other schools down but CBW does it the best and has the best environment a student can grow in. The staff the teachers and security are all nice and do there job not only right but make the students enjoy coming into school everyday. So fourth I want to spread the positive about CBW and I would try to spread the negative but it’s kinda hard when there is none.
