Asheville City Schools encourages diversity and equity. They ask for a lot of grants so there is a sufficient amount of funding for education.
Depending on what school you are at, the education can be good.
There are a lot of clubs, activities, and things you can do if you decide to get involved.

Great caring teachers, open door policy, communication could be better, some schools, playgrounds needs updating and more lunch choices. More after school options for PREK
I went to elementary and high school at Asheville City Schools and I loved them both. Isaac Dickson was my elementary school and I went there kindergarten through 5th grade. I loved Dickson, it was a great school with great teachers. I then went to Asheville High School for high school. There I played Varsity tennis, basketball and soccer all four years I was there. I loved the high school as well. I think that Asheville Citu Schools does a great job promoting and teaching diversity. ACS is very diverse and the system does a great job in teaching about excepting and the importance of diversity. The high school had many clubs that specified in the black community, many clubs about the LGBTQ+ community, clubs for atheletes, clubs for women, clubs for different religions, clubs about the Latino community, etc... This was just one of my favorited things about the Asheville City School system.
