Brooklyn Technical High School Reviews
Rating 3.93 out of 5 2,349 reviews
Brooklyn Tech is a school where you can meet people from different cultures and different parts of New York City. At this school, I was able to meet new people through the numerous amount of clubs offered and classes. At Brooklyn Tech, we join a major where we take different types of classes to give us a taste of this certain field. We are also able to meet different people due to the different interesting classes offered. We have so many AP classes offered and college-level classes like linear algebra and multi-variable calc.
Life at Brooklyn Technical High School is exhausting. Starting with the education, no one prepares you for the sudden increase in workload from freshman, to sophomore, to junior year of high school. You will find yourself burnt out no matter what strategies you try to put in place to prevent it. However, the quality of education in the school is unmatched to most local high school. The courses are all very rigorous, and from my experience, all the teachers are willing to help you achieve greater goals. I especially enjoy the major system within our school since it allows students to immerse themselves in a career-specific education.
Something I would like to see changed is the organization within our administration. There are too many instances of miscommunication between the higher ups and the students. This is because they often do not effectively nor clearly communicate their messages through short and concise emails.

Brooklyn Technical High School is an amazing experience for many students. The academic rigor and resources offered are highly acclaimed. Despite the intensity, many students have found success and have gone on to attend prestigious colleges and universities. The teachers are very supportive and truly care about the student’s success. Students develop strong relationships with peers and teachers. The clubs and extracurricular opportunities are also impressive, fostering a well-rounded educational experience.
