BASIS Chandler is a tuition-free, public charter school serving students in grades 5–12. We are a proud part of the BASIS Charter Schools network, which has been providing world-class education since 1998.

Supported by an innovative curriculum and Subject Expert Teachers who are passionate about what they do, we help our students achieve more and go further. At BASIS Chandler, your child will be engaged, challenged, and given opportunities to explore.

Our middle school curriculum is designed to progressively move students toward a greater understanding of fundamental concepts in each subject. In high school, students master advanced content at an accelerated rate while working towards their educational goals and preparing for college. At every grade level, we give students the tools and resources they need to succeed.

The teachers at this school are amazing for the most part, especially the high school teachers. They care about their students and teach very well. The school definitely is rigorous, competitive, and stressful so it is not for everyone. However, for students who want to take difficult courses and be in a small community setting where everyone knows each other, this school could be a good fit.

Review BASIS Chandler

My student is in his second year here. Most of his teachers are phenomenal. There are a couple that he doesn't connect with, but that is any school. I like that he gets to take physics and chemistry and biology in 6th grade. He loves that! He is also very excited about his drama and PE classes. It is a very well rounded curriculum and I like the path he is on. He also has a ton of options for extracurriculars. They are affordable and are much cheaper than club sports or the things that he does outside of school. The administration is very visible every day at dismissal, which is nice. I am happy that he is here.

We have been a BASIS Chandler family for 2.5 years and we have had a great experience. The teachers and administration work so hard to give our kids the best opportunities and education, and the teachers are passionate about their field and their students. It's really fun to see how much our kids learn and grow, thanks to the support they have from this school! It's a family effort, but we love being a part of the BASIS community.
