This was our first year and, like another person wrote, AON exceeded our expectations. Our child has made friends worldwide and is deeply engaged in the school work. We have great conversations about the topics - relevant, contemporary topics - over dinner. The teachers are fantastic and my child is learning life skills like prioritizing, asking questions, organization. It is amazing. We are really happy without decision. Life feels centered around our family, not around school. So grateful!
Avenues Online is a wonderful school and fantastic option for families who travel or have unpredictable schedules. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone with kids. Our children enrolled at the beginning of the pandemic, and it was a literal life-saver. Beyond that, the personalized attention our children received through Avenues is unparalleled. Both kids were slingshot forward in their academic skills their curiosity about the world, and even their social development. While the online program does lack traditional after-school activities, they do try to provide students with some online versions - music, geography, and LEGO clubs, to name a few. They also connect the students socially through Zoom play dates and Snack’n’chats. They recently established a parent group called FUSE to connect parents with the school and each other. Our children and our family are better for the existence of Avenues Online. If you are looking for an online option, Avenues is the “virtual” place!
Avenues online is truly amazing! Teachers care about their students growth and the school has an amazing built curriculum where learning is about critical thinking, creativity and questioning the world. Avenues has shown me the importance of creating our own ideologies. The community is fulled by professional teachers and talented students from the whole world that bring a global perspective to the classroom. Learning at AON has been a beautiful experience and has allowed me to become a more independent person. Finally I have to say, that the concept of online education may be scary but I have learned that online friendships are real and that Avenues is a community. I will also have to say that Avenues is for everyone and a reminder that the cost is fixed according to your family’s income.
