As a first-semester student pursuing a master's degree in computer science at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Its helping me into core computer science concepts such as algorithms, data structures, programming languages.Many courses involve hands-on projects that allow me to apply what I've learned in real-world scenarios.NJIT, being a research-focused institution, offers various research opportunities for graduate students. Engaging with faculty members, and industry professionals through seminars, and networking events can expand your professional network and provide valuable insights into the industry. NJIT typically provides support services such as academic advising, career counseling.NJIT often offers career development services such as resume building workshops, job fairs, internship opportunities, and connections with industry partners to help you kickstart my career or advance in my current field.
I started at a county college while in high school in hopes of experiencing a possible degree. I was initially not concrete on the decision I made. Once the experience of a Mechanical Engineering Technology degree was started, I didn't want to make a change in majors. I continued my journey at NJIT. My favorite part of the entire program was the connection formed from operating a machine to the engineering behind it. Making a part seems easy for some without the correlation to certain questions such as "is there an easier design", "why this tolerance", or "what material should we use". At the county college, as well as NJIT, this correlation was enforced and the mindset of many was changed. Towards the end of my time at NJIT, Covid-19 took over. I was unable to go to classes and interact with others. The hardest engineering classes were taught online. This may have been the worst part but the support system at NJIT made this experience as smooth as possible.
My academic experience is pretty good. Especially now since I am a junior which allows me to mainly focus on my major specific classes and not any side requirements from the college. I really enjoy meeting people with similar interest in my classes and studying and learning new experiences after classes. Simply asking questions I learned so much from my professors and classmates. However when it comes to my bad academic experience is mostly to worry about the high price and cost of my academic experience. Is just so hard to work to pay it off and put still a 100% into your study's. I'm trying all available options to let me simply let me better focus on my study's and not the costs of it.
