Columbia University School of Nursing offers a rigorous program cultivating critical thinking and benefiting from top-tier faculty who exemplify dedication to nursing and patient care. Through my student experience in various institutions, I've never encountered professors with as much expertise in their field and compassion for their patients, and it shows in the quality of teaching and the emphasis on our learning. However, the program's intensity often overlooks the personal challenges of students, lacking flexibility for those with diverse familial responsibilities or health concerns. As a single mother of an immunocompromised child, it is a detriment to students like me that they emphasis equality of equity, and sacrifice support and accommodation in favor of simplicity.. While the school promotes diversity, true inclusivity should provide tailored resources ensuring all students can thrive.
During my pursuit of an LLM degree, my academic journey has been both intellectually enriching and professionally transformative. Immersing myself in the intricacies of international law, I have delved deep into subjects such as human rights law, international trade law, and comparative legal systems. Engaging in rigorous coursework, seminars, and discussions with esteemed professors and fellow scholars has broadened my perspectives and sharpened my analytical skills.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my LLM experience has been the opportunity to conduct independent research and contribute to the field through insightful papers and presentations. Exploring complex legal issues has not only challenged me intellectually but has also fueled my passion for seeking innovative solutions to contemporary global challenges.

My academic experience at Columbia Law School has been incredibly enriching and intellectually stimulating. The rigorous curriculum challenged me to think critically and analytically, helping me develop a strong foundation in various areas of law. The professors are not only experts in their fields but also passionate educators who are always willing to engage in discussions and provide support. The diverse perspectives and backgrounds of my classmates further enriched the learning environment, fostering a collaborative and dynamic atmosphere.
One of the standout features of the program is the emphasis on experiential learning. Through clinics, externships, and simulation courses, students have the chance to apply what they have learned in real-world settings. This hands-on experience is invaluable in preparing for a successful legal career.
