Immersion Vanderbilt

The Immersion Vanderbilt program calls for each undergraduate to undertake a mentored immersive experience in and beyond the classroom. The project culminates in the creation of a final piece completed by the student under the guidance of a faculty mentor. Examples of immersive experiences include internships, study away, community engagement, and civic involvement.

I have overall had a great experience with Vanderbilt University, and I am truly sad that it is my last year coming up in the fall. I think that community is something that Vanderbilt does well, as everyone is so collaborative and kind! I think what needs to change is the Chancellor's office needs to hear student voices. Often times, his office makes really weird and sometimes dumb decisions without considering what it will look like for students, and it is really frustrating to not have our voices heard and listened to.

Review Vanderbilt University

Located in the heart of Nashville aka the Music City, I have great access to city life I've never experienced before, coming from a small southern town. We also have free access to public transportation, which is perfect for a low-income student like me. I can also try out new foods and restaurants within walking distance. Being low-income, I also have the option to go to dining centers on campus. Coming from an Asian household, however, the food is a little bit below my standards, but I'm impressed by their willingness to provide food of various cuisine types, from Greek to Mongolian to Vietnamese and more. I would love to see them try Filipino food as well.

Amazing college experience!! I love our community, professors, and opportunities for study abroad and career development. The minor programs are great and the university really cares about every student. If you face any problem at all, there will be a dozen individuals checking in with you. Very generous financial aid. Campus food and housing could be improved as some students get really nice res colleges whereas some buildings are old, otherwise vandy is a perfect university.
