Overall, Pitt has been pretty good so far! Lots of ups and downs, but that's part of any college experience no matter the school. Academically, the school does a good job with professors and class load, but it depends on what you're studying. For engineers, the professors are not very good and the course load is insane. But for other subjects such as biology or chemistry, the professors tend to be a bit better. Student life is very vibrant at Pitt! For me it was a struggle at first, but by sophomore year I found my groove and flourished socially! Joining a student organization that suits your interests and finding people who care about you is something that really defined my perception at Pitt. There's something for everyone! Whether you like to party or stay in, no one's going to judge you! Pitt offers solid facilities such as the gym, track and field house, basketball courts (no tennis unfortunately), and there's plenty of places in the Oakland area to visit and chill!

Review University of Pittsburgh

Attending the University of Pittsburgh was one of the best decisions I have ever made regarding my social and academic life. Pitt pushes me in so many different ways and with academics, Pitt has pushed me to become a brighter thinker, strategic problem solver, and has helped me with my study habits in ways that I thought were impossible! Socially, Pitt has pushed me to be more out there and allowed me to feel comfortable in my own skin around others that I may not have a lot in common with. There are many different students who attend The University of Pittsburgh and seeing the diversity makes me feel like I am not alone with who I am as a person. Attending Pitt has taught me that being yourself is ALWAYS okay, and reaching out for help or even just for a friend is okay! Everyone has been so welcoming and I am glad to say that the University of Pittsburgh is my second home.

I love living on and around campus. Living in Oakland has really made me fall in love with Pittsburgh. We have access to so many things around Pittsburgh such as free access on Pittsburgh Regional Transportation bus line, the t, the inclines, etc. We also have access to many of the historical and art museums around Pittsburgh, the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and Art, Mattress Factory, Heinz History Center, etc. There are also plenty of fun places in the city, the Strip District, Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, Schenley Park, and Kennywood!
