University of Cincinnati Reviews

I love the amount of extra circular activities available at UC. There is something for everyone, no matter when you find your path. While I feel that it is intimidating to join one of these groups and I have not yet joined one, I plan to soon. One thing I would like to see a change in is housing. Off campus housing is so incredibly expensive and the dorms are not available for every student as they are overcrowded and most are dirty. It is hard to focus on school and activities when students are constantly worried about having to pay for housing or even having housing in general. Overall, UC is an amazing school and has so much future potential. I am very lucky to attend!
What I love about University of Cincinnati is that they focus on preparing their students for the real world. They base their education on work-study programs that allow students to graduate with a strategic plan to get the best out of their career. Students also graduate with various job experiences and having more knowledge on how to manage their expenses since these are paid cooperative semesters. These also increase the chances for an international student to stay and work in the United States. The only thing about the university that I would like to change is the housing situation. After freshmen year, they do have few options for their students and most of them are obligated to leave campus and search for a nearby apartment to provide space for upcoming freshmen students each year and the cost for housing is considerably high for what they have to offer.
My experience with the university of Cincinnati was overall decent. I did attend about two years online due to Covid and had to take a majority of classes sophomore and junior year online. Senior year I made a few friends when I returned in person and even attended a fifth year of undergrad which I enjoyed. However, although I enjoyed a lot of different experiences throughout my undergrad years, I did not have the best experience with academic advisors. I do wish I could’ve received more help and support from staff and advisors while I was a student there. I believe it would have tremendously made a difference and it definitely could have made a more positive impact in my academic career.
