The university is known for its strong programs in engineering, computer science, biological sciences, business, and the arts, providing ample research opportunities and access to dedicated faculty who are leaders in their fields. The diverse and inclusive campus community enriches the student experience, supported by numerous cultural clubs, advocacy groups, and resources.
However, there are areas that could be improved. The cost and availability of housing in Irvine can be challenging. Parking on campus is also a concern due to high fees and limited spaces, particularly during peak hours. Additionally, popular classes often fill up quickly, making it hard for students to enroll in required courses. Simplifying administrative processes and improving communication between the administration and students would enhance the overall experience. Despite these challenges, UCI remains an excellent environment for academic and personal growth

My 4 years at the University of California - Irvine, was one of the best experiences of my life! The school environment was fun, vibrant, and exciting. Yet, it was also a beautiful place to be with areas lending to a calm study setting. My favorite thing about this university were the wonderful dorms and my fellow students I met throughout my time there. The faculty here are all committed to providing invaluable learning experiences and supporting the success of all their students. It was one of my professors here that truly inspired me to pursue my dreams.
Since I left the facilities have all got a major facelift and look amazing! The area surrounding the university is also very safe and easy to drive around. Best of all, lots of good restaurants and places to hang out at.

When a passerby walks through UCI, they will immediately know that the campus has amazing facilities, a diverse student body, and prioritizes academics. The university has a plethora of facilities tailored to students needs such as a well-maintained recreation center, tons of study areas, a lush green park in the center of campus, and resources to help students excel in their courses. In addition, UCI takes pride in its housing by ensuring that they are furnished, regularly maintained, and promote a sense of community. The associated student body of UCI makes sure to balance academics and student life by hosting two concerts headlined by major artists, club rushes, and intriguing events such as breaking the record for the biggest game of red light green light.
What I would like to see change about UCI is its faulty class registration system. During enrollment windows, the system crashes, which has caused me to not get classes I want.
