University of California - Davis Reviews

I liked meeting the students! Davis is pretty isolated, and there wasn't too much to do unless you traveled outside of Davis. Most of my enjoyable memories were from when I met new people and got to know them better. I met some friends that I know will impact me for the rest of my life. I am and will always be forever grateful for them. There were so many new perspectives that I was introduced to, and I feel that they made me more solidified in who I am and who I want to be. I do wish that I had more time to explore my interests both socially and academically, but I'm glad that to some extent I did this. I also found that while the students were fairly united in their preferences for some things, the university itself wasn't the most perceptive to student requests and concerns. My only suggestion for the university would be for it to take the time to listen to its students, especially if the students feel strongly about what they are bringing attention to.
I love UC Davis. The campus is beautiful and welcoming. The faculty are knowledgeable and supportive, helping students succeed both academically and personally. As a transfer student, I found the transition smooth due to the comprehensive support services. The advising centers, like the Yellow Cluster Advising Center, have been instrumental in my academic planning.
Student life is vibrant, with numerous clubs and organizations. As a member of the Nursing Club and participant in a young adults Bible study, I've found a sense of community. The university’s commitment to sustainability and focus on health and wellness, with facilities like the ARC, are commendable.
However, parking can be challenging during peak hours, and expanding mental health services would benefit students, especially during stressful times like finals. Overall, UC Davis offers an enriching and fulfilling experience with excellent academics, supportive faculty, and a lively campus life.

UC Davis impresses with its sprawling campus, blending academic rigor with a vibrant student life. Renowned for its agricultural and environmental sciences programs, it offers diverse disciplines and cutting-edge research opportunities. The campus boasts modern facilities, including the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts and state-of-the-art laboratories. Students benefit from a supportive community and numerous extracurricular activities, from clubs to sports. The town of Davis itself adds charm with its bike-friendly culture and proximity to Sacramento and the Bay Area. UC Davis stands out for its commitment to innovation and sustainability, making it a top choice for aspiring scholars.
