Arts management

What are arts management majors?

Arts management programs focus on a variety of topics on the business side of the arts. This can include classes in accounting, marketing, and event planning in addition to classes in the history and theory of art. This combination of business and liberal arts coursework will prepare you for a wide range of careers. Arts management majors often go on to careers in arts administration, museums, galleries, or performing arts organizations. Others may work in marketing or public relations for an arts organization, and some may open their own businesses, such as art galleries or event planning companies.
