Real estate students are trained to develop, buy, sell, appraise, and manage real estate. It involves instruction in land use development policy, real estate law, real estate marketing procedures, agency management, brokerage, property inspection and appraisal, real estate investing, leased and rental properties, commercial real estate, and property management.

How popular is real estate as a major?

Each year, around 1,480 students obtain a bachelor’s degree and around 330 students obtain an associate degree in real estate. In 2021, 1,959 students received a bachelor's degree and 429 students received an associate degree. This is 13% more real estate majors than there were in 2020. Real estate is a relatively popular major compared to other business and management majors.
