Advice to extend to other students either joining the Mechanical Engineering major or already in it would be, not to give up. It's basic but very true. Give everything multiple chances and see it through. If you fail, then you fail but retake that class as many times as it takes for you to pass it. Don't let your GPA define you. This is an extremely hard major! Life is tough so you need to be tougher. Don't be afraid to ask your professors for help or even your peers. Definitely make friends and create study groups, those will be lifesavers! Make time for yourself, even if you're drowning in school work, it is better to make sure you're okay before continuing your studies. Start your homework right away, even if you have two weeks to do it, everything adds up and can easily overwhelm you!
