Ask for help him and ask questions
To be open to any and all subjects since international studies is focused on the understanding of the world at large. Also to travel the world wether that be in regards of study abroad, working with organizations, etc. As it will help with you gain experience.
Try to connect topics throughout your courses. If you are taking an economics course and a political science one at the same time, draw on their similarities to help further your knowledge in both classes.
My best advice as for any other major is take notes. It’s always good to remember your key terms because that’s what will be the biggest factor in any test or exam. I would also be prepared to read a lot.
