What is a hospital management major?

Students who participate in hospital management curriculums learn to apply managerial principles to the administration of hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and other health care facilities. Specific instruction includes facilities planning, building and operations management, business management, financial management and insurance, fund-raising and marketing, public relations, human resources management and labor relations, health care facilities operations, principles of health care delivery, and applicable law and regulations.

Each year, around 2,690 students obtain a bachelor’s degree and around 25 students obtain an associate degree in hospital management.
