Technicians studying heavy equipment maintenance are prepared to use a certain skill set in the category of preservation and repair of heavy equipment, as well as the general overhaul of such equipment. Instruction topics include inspection, maintenance, and repair of tracks, wheels, brakes, operating controls, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, electrical circuitry, engines, and techniques of welding and brazing.
