What is a general health professions major?

Health care programs in general prepare students to assume roles as health/wellness professionals in private businesses and industries, community organizations, and other medical settings. Instructional topics include: personal health, community health and welfare, nutrition, epidemiology, disease prevention, fitness and exercise, and health behaviors. Concentrations include: medicine, medical science, research, pharmaceutical, and veterinary, among others.
