What is a general global studies major?
Students of area and ethnic studies focus on the history, society, politics, culture, and economics of one or more of the peoples of the African continent, usually with an emphasis on Africa south of the Sahara, and including the African diasporas overseas. Subtopics include African studies, North American studies, Asian studies, European and Russian studies, Latin American studies, as well as minority studies, among others.

If you are interested in issues around the world and why things are the way, then this is the major for you. PS. You do alot of upper level history courses.
