How popular is French language and literature as a major?

Each year, around 2,450 students obtain a bachelor’s degree and around 95 students obtain an associate degree in French language and literature. In 2021, 2,064 students received a bachelor's degree and 76 students received an associate degree. This is 7% fewer French language and literature majors than there were in 2020. French language and literature is one of the most popular majors within foreign languages.
