Advice from exercise physiology majors
Share your experienceI majored in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at UF. The program was challenging but the classes within my major were interesting and kept me engaged. I would recommend finding a group of like-minded students in your classes to study with. It is difficult to succeed on your own. Strength is in numbers!
Using those resources around the campus and having connections with the students and professors here. Try to join the Exercise Physiology Student Organization as well to know the potential of this program.
Work part time school full time.. If possible!
To have fun with your choice of major! Get involved, whether that be with the professors and classmates or clubs and extracurricular activities! Try to maintain a healthy social life with school work!
My advice would be to be on top of your work. The readings, exams, quizzes, etc pile up fast. I also recommend to study as you learn. Re-reading/writing notes after class can help you retain the information, so when it comes to study, you don't have to cram everything in at once. One more thing, do not be afraid to ask for help. Tutors are there for a reason and they want to help you!
