How popular is Biblical studies as a major?
Each year, around 2,950 students obtain a bachelor’s degree and around 510 students obtain an associate degree in Biblical studies. In 2021, 2,456 students received a bachelor's degree and 387 students received an associate degree. This is 7% fewer Biblical studies majors than there were in 2020. Biblical studies is one of the most popular majors within religious studies.

Go to school with an open mind and try to learn as much as you possibly can and do your best for God's glory. If you do, God will really grow you and strengthen you, and you'll get an enormous benefit
Have steadfast joy in the major. It is going to get tough but continually reminding yourself of why you are here goes a long way. It creates healthier mindset on assignments and the crazy amount of reading you do. Also don’t get too caught up with head knowledge. There are certainly times where you got to slow down and take in the Bible as you should. The very word of the Lord which is used for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. One that also brings comfort to weary souls and so much steps closer to the amazing God who gave His life for our ransom.
If you feel like it’s starting to get too hard, talk to the professors. They were the biggest help to me!
You are not going to agree with every perspective about the Bible that you come across. Just make sure you think thoroughly about why you agree or disagree with certain perspectives.
