What is an automotive mechanics major?

This program enables students to apply specific skill sets to repair, service, and maintain all types of automobiles. Course topics include: brake systems, electrical systems, engine performance, engine repair, suspension and steering, automatic and manual transmissions and drive trains, as well as heating and air condition systems.

How popular is automotive mechanics as a major?

Each year, around 50 students obtain a bachelor’s degree and around 8,900 students obtain an associate degree in automotive mechanics.
