Advice from Arabic language and literature majors
Share your experienceArabic is one of the most complex languages to exist in our world yet it is extremely fascinating. It is a language you must be compelled to learn and willing to push yourself academically. Learning a language regardless if its Spanish, Chinese, etc you are opening your mind to a whole new set of shapes, sounds and words. It is important to allow your mind to process the new things you are teaching it. It is okay to mess up and grow confused when learning something so complex. The most important thing that comes with indulging in such a complex language is not giving up and pushing yourself to be immersed fully in the language. I understand this advice is easier said than done but I have been studying the language for about seven years now and it is the one piece of solid advice I would give to anyone studying or potentially studying the same major as me.
