What is an animal sciences and husbandry major?

This general program focuses on the scientific principles that underlie the breeding and husbandry of agricultural animals, and the production, processing, and distribution of agricultural animal products. Subtopics include agricultural animal breeding, animal health, animal nutrition, dairy science, livestock management, and poultry science, as well as other animal sciences. Course subjects include the animal sciences, animal husbandry and production, and agricultural and food products processing.
