I spent my Freshman year at UVA Wise from 2019-2020. The end tail was disrupted by the pandemic so classes went online, but I enjoyed my time here a lot! The professors I had clearly cared about the subjects they taught and their students, which made my time here special. You could find one-on-one time with professors for extra help and guidance, which is rare for college. The campus is smaller, but that meant it was easier to get to class in the morning. It also meant you were around the same people most of the time. All in all, I found if you put in the effort and work needed, you would do well. It was also really affordable compared to other colleges in VA.
I am a compsci student and my professors are fantastic and have been very helpful. There are plenty of events to enjoy and opportunities like study abroad and internships. It's also very cheap to go here, as in I'm basically getting paid to go to school right now, which is awesome.
My only complaint is that the school is extremely small, and as a result, there are a few things missing. For one, it's not very diverse. There's not a very wide range of majors and minors. Clubs tend to die. Etc.
All in all, if you want to save money and don't mind going to a very small school, it's great. Imo you can have a great college experience anywhere, and here you can graduate without debt, too.

I work within the Campus of the college and there is always events for students to be going to. There is so many good events, intramurals, interactive activities, sporting events, speakers, pancake art, bracelet making, so so many events for students to be involved. I feel very safe at this campus and would recommend the college to anyone who asked.
