St. John's University is a good school if you want to get a degree and make connections. The workload isn't very challenging so if you are looking for an easy breezy way through college, St. John's is the place for you. However, if you really want to gain knowledge for professional careers or graduate programs, maybe look elsewhere. The lure of St. John's is that even though tuition is expensive, most students get hefty scholarships. Also, St. John's is close to Manhattan which is pretty cool. However, the area surrounding St. John's campus can be dangerous at times. The security on campus is outstanding though! One positive of St. John's is their study abroad opportunities, which they have plenty of. If you commit to St. John's, I highly recommend studying abroad.
The areas that, in my opinion, require improvement are:
Scholarships and Education Expenses: It's quite expensive, and complaints about tuition and the availability of financial assistance are widespread, much like at many private colleges.
Infrastructure and Facilities: Some students could suggest improving and growing the campus's facilities.

St. johns is a amazing school, I've met many friends, and even family that I didn't know was my family here. I always reminisce on how blessed I am, that I'm able to attend such a high up, and popular school like St. Johns. I love the diversity at this school, as I see a mix of races, sexualities and genders. It's always so welcoming and wholesome when it comes to going to on campus events and even parties that happen almost every other week. I would love to see more diverse programs to happen around campus, and more ways to help students thrive and become their better self's. I would love to see more opportunities to pursue in certain career paths, with more speakers and people who can help us gain connections for the future. I'm so humbled and happy that I am able to give my intake on a school I often thought that I wouldn't like, but ended up loving it. And with the over the top support and love I get from my family, it makes me want to become a better person at St. Johns.
