As a Brooklyn College Alum, I have to say the college is very welcoming! There are multiple advisors in every department who give amazing and free academic advice and life advice (always a good add on). The students are sweet and helpful, but there is no party scene as alot of the students are commuters. I met my best friend at this college! I was a psychology student who minored in chemistry- I have to say that the psychology department and the childhood education department were the best 2 departments in the whole school (and of course the women's volleyball team). There are some amazing and well rounded professors who teach here! I enjoyed my time and would recommend it to all people wanting to come to CUNY. The financial office is surprisingly not that bad- they get back to you in a timely manner and if someone qualifies- they offer a good amount of financial aid. The STEM professors are rough though, they expect alot but all of them always need students in their independent lab!
I love it at Brooklyn college I feel safe and welcome whenever I step onto campus. I would recommend this school to everyone would want to continue their education. I am grateful for the experiences I am going through. Overall the campus life, academics, and community is amazing. My professors push me to do better, the communication between myself and the professors are amazing and perfect office hours. I am happy to be apart of this college.
I would like to see changes within the advisement process when choosing classes, and majors/minors. More guidance with financial aid would be helpful too.
