[Girl] They got a sign over the water fountains
say, Drink at your own risk.

[Young Man] My nephew started getting tiny bumps
and red, little rashes on his body.
(haunting music)
[Girl] The principal kept saying, Don't
wash your hands if you have a cut.
(haunting music)
[Young Man] We thought he had Cradle Cap because,
like, you know, his hair kept falling out.
(haunting music)
[Man] And we kept taking him back to the doctor
and they couldn't say what was wrong.
(coffee brewing)
[Girl] Months and months we been drinking this water.
And we had no idea what we was drinking.
[Young Man] You can't really get around it.
(faucet runs)
[Female] When I wake up I gotta brush my teeth.
[Girl] Taking a bath, washing your hands, washing dishes.
[Male] I was givin my daughter and my son the water.
[Small Child] My mom used to make Chicken Noodle
soup with water.
[Female] Watering your plants, washing clothes,
taking a shower.
[Girl] Cooking with it.
[Small Child] Wash your hands with it.
[Young Man] My girlfriend was pregnant.
You know, she was, drinking the water.
[Female] Are those ice cubes from the water?
[Girl] Boiling macaroni in it.
[Young Woman] Making coffee.
[Girl] Rinsing off your fruits, vegetables, meat.
[Female] Did you wash that lettuce in Flint water?
[Girl] Wash my hands.
[Lady] I wash my face.
[Young Girl] Every single day that's something we use.
Every single day.
(water splashes)
[Woman] Do you know how hard it was for us
to retrain our children?
That they can't turn on a faucet?
(water splashes)
[Lady] When we see all over the TV about our
toxic water in our hometown,
it does something to you.
(haunting music)

It makes you fearful.
(water rushes)
(haunting music)
What are they gonna do to us next?
(haunting music)

[Man] I don't trust nothing.
I really don't.
[Woman] I don't trust them.
I don't trust, no I don't

I don't, I don't because we people and
they not treatin us like we people.

[Young Lady] How can I fight this?
You's supposed to be able to protect
your kids and this is something
you can't protect them from.
(haunting music)
[Female] Everything water touches?
I wouldn't trust it.
Not at all.

[Older Woman] I don't trust in anything
that they say now.
I don't think I would ever.
They could have this whole place knocked down
and picked back up.
I don't think I would ever drink their water again.
