'Street Outlaws' Racer Dead after Breast Cancer Battle

A 33-year-old street racer and reality show personality died of breast cancer on Thursday.

Pat Musi confirmed his daughter Lizzy Musi's death on Facebook.

"Surrounded by her family, in the comfort of her own home, Lizzy was called to heaven at 11:25pm tonight," Pat Musi wrote. "Thank you for all the prayers and support throughout her battle. At this time, the family would like to have time to process, grieve and make arrangements in peace. We will give an update as soon as we have information to share."

Lizzy Musi appeared on "Street Outlaws: No Prep King" on Discovery. She stepped away from the show last year after revealing her diagnosis with stage 4 triple-negative breast cancer.

Triple-negative breast cancer is an aggressive and invasive form of breast cancer, according to the American Cancer Society. It typically spreads faster and has a worse prognosis than other types of cancer. It also has less treatment options.

She was open about her cancer journey, sharing that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes and liver with Drag Illustrated last month. She also said she was seeking treatment in Germany.

"I've kind of tried everything here [in the U.S.], and I've researched the doctor and treatment in Germany that can isolate my liver and treat it," Lizzy Musi told the outlet.

Who was Lizzy Musi?

Musi was one of the top women street racers, scoring three consecutive wins on the show. She was also the first woman to break the barrier of 200 mph in eighth-mile doorslammer racing with a 3.802-second run.

In 2014, Lizzy Musi became the first woman to win a Pro Nitrous national event at the Professional Drag Racers Association US Drags.

She was in a relationship with Jeffrey Earnhardt, the grandson of NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt. They started dating in late 2023 after Lizzy Musi's relationship with racer Kye Kelley ended.

She spoke about how Jeffrey Earnhardt supported her throughout her cancer battle.

"This guy right here has supported me like no other from sleepless ER nights and dealing with my health to cheering me on at my races," Lizzy Musi said on Instagram.

Lizzy Musi is the second "Street Outlaws" star who died this year. On April 6, Nathan Schaldach, also known as Cali Nate, died in a car crash in southwest Texas.

Lizzy Musi posted a remembrance of her co-star on Instagram.

"Hard to wrap my mind around this one," Lizzy Musi said. "We all know the risk when strapping into these cars. I had the privilege to race with Nate when we filmed the street shows in Vegas and Cali. A true street racer and one hell of a guy!"
