A message overlaid on the clip reads: "POV [point of view]: When mom drops you off at doggy day care where you think you're going to play with your friend Moose but you end up getting the full body navy seal cut from the daycare groomer." The footage captures the seemingly disgruntled reaction of the dog, who is shown sitting in a car.

A voice is heard in the clip, asking the pooch, "Are you mad at me about your haircut? You're not talking to me?" The pup turns its head away towards the window as the clip ends.

The caption accompanying the post reads: "Silent treatment whole way home."

Pet grooming is a common practice among dog owners in the U.S., with many opting for professional services to keep their pets clean and well-maintained. While professional grooming is essential for a pet's health and hygiene, it's clear that some, like the dog in the viral video, may not always appreciate it.

According to a 2023-2024 survey by the American Pet Products Association (APPA), 66 percent of U.S. households own a pet, which amounts to 86.9 million households, including 65.1 million that have a canine companion.

Pet industry sales in the U.S. are projected to reach $150.6 billion in 2024, including $12.9 billion in services such as grooming, training, boarding, insurance, and pet sitting/walking among others outside of veterinary care.

'The Betrayal'

TikTok users were amused by the dog's disapproval of the unexpected grooming session.

MiMiToo said: "I've never seen a more definitive 'no I am not talking to you'."

Shumeka wrote: "He is big mad at you mama." User heartwinks said: "Ohhhh, the betrayal."

Brittney Dey noted: "The way he whipped his head he is absolutely not talking to you! How funny dogs have the greatest personalities!"

Quepsi#7 wrote: "Some of these dogs can really cop an attitude." User jetman2 noted, "I bet his friends made fun of him with that kind of reaction!"
