Dog Controlling Owner's Screen Time Delights Internet: 'That's Enough'

Dogs are known for their needy nature and one pup has proven this stereotype to be true.

A German shepherd crossed with a golden retriever has left the internet in stitches after he demanded his owner gave him her undivided attention by ensuring she cannot watch television.

German shepherds are one of the most social breeds and love being close to their owners, according to Pedigree, a dog food brand.

In a video which amassed 863,900 likes and 5.6 million views, a dog mom showed her dog's inability to be left alone as he slammed his owner's laptop shut.

In the original clip, Olivia Fergu (@fergulici0us) from Florida shared on TikTok: "People: you need to have other interests beside your dog.

"My dog:"

The video shows the dog using his paw to close Olivia's laptop when she is watching TV.

Olivia moves her dog's paw out of the way and re-opens her laptop to continue viewing. A few seconds later, the dog defiantly knocks the laptop shut again.

The content creator then re-uploaded the video without the text overlay, following a request from a commenter.

Viewers were left hysterical from the dog's neediness.

Scarlett said: "Your dog was like 'oh no no you're not getting more screen time dont even think about it girl,'" while Bri added: "He's said no more shows, play time now." And a third added: "He is like yeah that's enough."

Others shared their pet's peculiar habits.

One user commented: "My cats end up sitting on the keyboard part and pausing the show 100+ times."

Another said: "My dog does that to my phone so I have to put down my phone till they had enough attention."

Another funny pooch went viral for his determination to stop his owner from working on his laptop.

Nick, a persistent Australian shepherd, demands his owner finishes on time every day by tapping the keys and swiping his paw across the screen until his owner Madeline calls it a day and gives him her fullest attention.

In a similar manner, Diana the Doberman went viral for her attempts to stop her owner Nweisman from working.

The video shows the defiant dog pressing her nose against her owner's screen and then shutting the lid with her face.
