Baby Has the Best Reaction to Seeing a Dog for First Time—'Magical Moments'

A TikTok video has gone viral showing the sweet moment a baby met a dog for the very first time, and his relatable reaction has left social media users in hysterics.

Kirsten McKinney, 28, shared the clip of her six-month-old son, Easton, getting his first ever puppy experience when he met Sherman the dachshund. There's no doubt that Easton was in complete puppy heaven in that moment, as he burst into uncontrollable giggles and didn't take his eyes off his four-legged friend.

McKinney, of Columbus, Ohio couldn't get enough of Easton's laughter, which lasted for an incredible 30 minutes, telling Newsweek that it was "the perfect therapy."

She didn't want to keep this precious moment all to herself, however, so she shared the clip on TikTok (@mckinneyadventures). Needless to say, Easton's adorable reaction has left plenty of social media users in fits of laughter too, leading to more than 22.4 million views and over 3.2 million likes on TikTok, and 28.1 million views on Instagram.

"At first, you can tell my husband and I were both surprised by his adorable and vivacious response because I wasn't even positioned in a good spot to film the video," McKinney said. "We have a cat and he just recently started acknowledging it. He usually smiles and wants to pet her when she walks nearby, so I thought his response would be similar. But his reaction to meeting a dog was clearly on a different level. He just loves dogs and something about them is very funny to him."

McKinney and her husband were only dog-sitting Sherman for a week, but that was more than enough time for him and Easton to form an enviable friendship. After their first meeting was such a hit, McKinney can't wait for them to reunite again soon and show just how inseparable they are.

For now, she continues to relive this memorable moment and watches the clip again any time she needs a pick-me-up.

"I hope Easton's childhood is full of lots of those kinds of magical moments, and that I'll be lucky enough to witness more of them," she told Newsweek.

Since the video was shared on social media last week, McKinney has been blown away by the reaction to it and all the positive messages she's received.

She explained that Easton is her "miracle rainbow baby" after suffering a devastating miscarriage. He's brought so much light and happiness to their lives already, and it's been wonderful to see his joyfulness spread even further through this clip.

"He must have a very special purpose to have such a sweet footprint on the world already at this young age. I hope he continues to bring joy to each person he meets, as he does for me and his dad every single day."

Easton's relatable reaction to meeting a dog has delighted the internet since it went viral, leading to more than 6,800 comments on TikTok already. One person responded: "Puppies and babies, the joy of this world!"

Another TikTok user wrote: "I don't know who's more excited, the dog or the baby?"

While another comment reads: "The baby got a dog, and the dog got a baby."
