Now that national hamburger day has come and gone, we’re turning our attention to its loyal companion ― fries.

National French Fry Day is July 12 and we want to honor these deep-fried delights.

With soooo many good ones out there ― from a paper bag full of Five Guys boardwalk-style fries (oh, that Cajun spice!) to the delectably addictive duck fat fries at Sage on 47th in Cape Coral ($8 on the Locals Hour menu from 3-5 p.m. Monday to Friday!) ― we need your help to find the best fries in Southwest Florida.

Duck fat fries are on the Locals Hour menu at Sage on 47th in Cape Coral.

Whether you prefer your fries in waffle and wedge or steak and shoestring form, we want to hear your favorites.

All you have to do is send an email to features@naplesnews.com by 4 p.m. Friday, June 14, with the name of your go-to restaurant for fries and where we can find it.

And if you’re extra passionate about your French fry spot, include a sentence or two with reasons behind your nomination.

We’ll compile those results into a poll with voting open from June 17-21. A story containing the results will then be published June 26.

The winner will be featured in a national results story by our sister publication, USA TODAY.

So get out there, do some research (that’s the best part!), and let us know what you think. Happy fry-ing!
