Chase and Air Canada are bringing the summer heat early with a new, limited-time offer on the Aeroplan® Credit Card.
As of May 23, 2024, the card’s welcome bonus offer is increasing: 70,000 bonus points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of account opening. That’s a 10,000-point boost from the previous offer.
NerdWallet currently values Air Canada Aeroplan points at 1.4 cents each, making this bonus offer worth an estimated $980. Those extra miles can help offset the card's $95 annual fee when you book award travel on Air Canada or partner airlines within the Star Alliance network.
From July 8 to July 17, first-time cardholders also received an additional offer: earn 40% bonus points on purchases for 40 days (up to $40,000 in spending)
In addition to the new limited-time offer, cardholders will receive the following ongoing benefits:
Earn 3 points per dollar spent on groceries, restaurants and purchases made directly with Air Canada.

If you don’t have immediate plans to fly, you can also use the card’s Pay Yourself Back® feature to redeem up to 50,000 points annually toward a statement credit against other travel purchases, including hotels, car rentals, rideshare, flights on any airline and more.
Should you apply for the Aeroplan® Credit Card ?
If you fly Air Canada or other Star Alliance airlines like United Airlines, the Aeroplan® Credit Cardcan help you rack up points for award flights or to redeem against other travel through the Pay Yourself Back® feature.
