Two people died and multiple people including a child were injured after an apparent drive-by shooting in Fort Lauderdale Monday night, police said.
Fort Lauderdale Police said officers responded at around 7:55 p.m. to the 700 block of Northwest 10th Terrace, where they found five adults and the child suffering from gunshot wounds.
A woman was pronounced dead at the scene and a man was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. Three adults and the child were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers at the scene appeared to be focused on a convenience store on Northwest 10th Terrace and 8th Street. Detectives were seen looking inside with flashlights after several blocks in the area were closed off with yellow crime scene tape.

A man who did not want to speak on camera told NBC6 that the two people who died were his daughter and nephew. He also said one of the survivors is his grandson.
Police did not confirm information on the victims' ages or identities.
The shooting is still under investigation, but police said it may have been a drive-by shooting and that it was an isolated incident.

"We need information to help us put the pieces together regarding this investigation. We know there were many people on scene that witnessed this, someone who may have seen the color of the vehicle, or the driver of the vehicle, or the type of gun," Casey Liening, a spokesperson for the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, said. "I mean, you name it. We need those people to come forward."
No one is in custody and witnesses are urged to come forward to police and call police at 954-828-6677.
