Connecticut State Police said a man reported missing in their town was found dead in the Connecticut River on Monday.
Authorities said a silver alert was issued for 56-year-old David Hickie, who was reported missing on July 10.
State police said a search for Hickie was inconclusive but later on Monday night, firefighters and EnCon Police responded to the Connecticut River near Ferry Road for a report of a man floating in the water.
Crews tried to resuscitate the man, but were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead.

Police said the don't believe there is a criminal aspect to the investigation. The circumstances surrounding Hickie's death weren't immediately available.
