LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A Lee County Judge denied Wade Wilson’s motion to be moved from Lee County Jail to Charlotte County Jail.
Wade Wilson asked for the relocation earlier this month as he awaits trial.
Wilson was accused of murdering two Cape Coral women
He was indicted on first-degree murder charges in 2019 for killing Kristine Melton and Diane Ruiz in Cape Coral.

Wilson and his defense said the Lee County Jail doesn’t have the technology to allow inmates to view electronic discovery evidence he said is needed to make his case.
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office and prosecutors opposed transferring Wilson. Prosecutors said he is high risk and has had multiple disciplinary issues.

Judge Thompson denied Wilson’s motion saying the relocation will not be permitted solely for the convenience of the defendant.
