Angular correlation functions for samples of the N most massive central ellipticals and central disks in three redshift intervals, and for the corresponding ‘shuffled’ samples wherein each galaxy is replaced by another central galaxy of similar host halo mass regardless of galaxy type. Note that the correlations are weaker than those in Fig. 6 due to the absence of the one-halo term. Assembly bias manifests itself as a difference between the original and shuffled samples, but we detect no clear effect of assembly bias for these sample sizes.
