One of the best bites I enjoyed in the tasting session at the recent Iron Fork event was from Ricey & Co., courtesy of Art Insyxiengmay and his bespoke sushi catering and pop-up crew. And I’ve long been a fan of the team behind Slim + Husky’s and the important impact they are making in Nashville and other communities across the country.
So it was exciting to hear that these two groups are coming together for a one-time pop-up experience on Saturday, May 18, from 7 p.m. until midnight at the Skye Lounge at Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown. (Nashvillians of a certain age might remember that spot as the Polaris atop the Hyatt Regency, the rotating restaurant that was a premier date night destination before the skyline rose up around the building and the restaurant stopped rotating almost a decade ago.)
Their collaboration will be called The Sushi Pizza: Slim + Husky’s x Ricey & Co and will feature “Bang Bang Shrimp” Pizza and the “Spicy Crab” Pizza creations, followed by Slim + Husky’s custom Cinnamon Roll Bar for a little post-pizza dessert. The evening will also feature live music from DJ Raiden and sweeping skyline views. It's priced at $35 per person, and guests can reserve tickets on Resy for one slice of the signature Sushi Pizza, one drink token and one cinnamon roll.
Sounds like a fun Saturday night to me!
