It has been a horrific 22 hours in London, as the city has been plagued by a wave of violence and disaster. Starting on Monday, April 3 - the first day of the week saw a man in his 20s stabbed in broad daylight right by London Bridge Station.

Later, a 14-year-old boy was knifed at Sutton train station just a few short hours on. Then, in the early hours of Tuesday, April 4, a man in his 20s was shot dead in Mitcham - followed by a horrific fire in Sutton, where there were fortunately no injuries.

This most recent wave of incidents was brought to a close at 2pm when a 16-year-old was knifed on a London bus travelling through Elephant and Castle. A man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed on Tanner Street

The most recent wave of violence began when a man in his 20s was stabbed on Bermondsey’s Tanner Street at around 4.30pm on Monday (April 2). A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 4.34pm on Monday, April 3 to Tanner Street SE1 after reports of a stabbing. Officers responded with LAS and London's Air Ambulance.

“A man aged in his 20s was found with stab injuries. He was taken to hospital; his condition is not life-threatening or life-changing. There have been no arrests. A crime scene is in place and enquiries are ongoing.”

In nearby Sutton, another horrific stabbing took place - this time at Sutton train station at around 10.30pm on the evening of Monday, April 3. A 14-year-old boy was knifed in the horrific attack - he was rushed to hospital with stab wounds, where thankfully his injuries have been deemed not life threatening or life changing.

Now, detectives are looking to speak to the two males caught on CCTV images, as they may have information which could help with the investigation. The British Transport Police said: "Anyone who recognises them, or has any information relating to this incident, can contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 774 of 3 April. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Police and ambulance crews rushed to Croydon Road in Mitcham, near the junction with Beddington Lane at around 2.25am early this morning (April 4) after a man was shot dead. The police are now appealing to the public for information, if you have any call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

One person passing the crime scene told MyLondon: "I feel like something like this hasn't happened in a while. I can't remember the last tine. It's just grim. It's horrible that this has happened." The road has been closed for 11 hours as detectives investigate the murder.

The aftermath of a fire that ravaged a restaurant near St Nicholas shopping centre in Sutton

Later today, a huge fire broke out at St Nicholas shopping centre just before 9am. A video posted on Twitter showed at least a dozen firefighters at the scene, as well as plumes of grey smoke billowing into the air. No injuries were reported, the London Fire Brigade confirmed.

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: "Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters are tackling a restaurant fire on Sutton High Street. Part of the ground floor and roof, as well as half of the first and second floors, of a three-storey building is alight.

"Road closures are in place and people are asked to avoid the area where possible. The Brigade was called at 0911. Fire engines, including a 32-metre turntable ladder, from Sutton, Wallington, Mitcham, Wimbledon, Croydon, Soho and surrounding fire stations are at the scene. The cause of the fire is not known at this time."

A man in his 30s has also been rushed to hospital after being stabbed on a South London street earlier this morning (Tuesday, April 4). Just after 10am, police were flagged down near Ilderton Road in South Bermondsey where they found the victim with a stab wound to his chest and another to his leg.

They performed first aid in the street, before rushing the man to hospital for treatment. Thankfully, his condition is not thought to be life-threatening, and there have been no arrests at this stage.

A man is 'fighting for his life' after a plane crashed not long after it took off over London

Emergency services rushed to Damyns Hall aerodrome near Upminster after a plane crashed shortly after takeoff at around noon today.

A woman was rescued from the crash was assessed by the London Ambulance Service with no serious injuries while the man has been rushed to hospital with potentially life changing or life-threatening injuries. Police along with six fire engines responded.

Most recently, a teenager has been stabbed in broad daylight on a South London bus route this afternoon (April 4). Metropolitan Police rushed to the scene of the incident at just after 2pm after reports of a stabbing on the route 63 which was travelling along New Kent Road.

Emergency services, including Met Police and London Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene of the incident where a crime scene has been put in place. A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment following the stabbing.

His injuries are believed to be non life-threatening. No arrests have been made and police enquiries into the circumstances of the stabbing continue.

A Met Police spokesperson told MyLondon: "Police were called at 14:04hrs to reports of a stabbing on a Route 63 bus on New Kent Road, SE1. Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the male, aged 16, was taken to hospital for treatment; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. A crime scene is in place."
