A dad has shared his frustration over his wife's tendency to edit their young daughters' photos with beauty filters before posting them on social media. Remaining anonymous, the concerned father shared his thoughts on Reddit's Mildly Infuriating thread, revealing his discomfort with the digital touch-ups his wife applies to their kids' pictures. He admitted feeling "mildly disturbed."

The Reddit post, which sparked a wave of responses, was titled: "My wife uses beauty filters on pictures of our kids and posts them online." In the post, he wrote: "My wife posts a lot of Instagram pictures and will take pictures of our children (six- and four year old girls) which is fine. However, she highly edits these pictures and uses some kind of supermodel filter on them which to me looks weird and unnatural. She's convinced they look so good - I'm over here mildly disturbed."

Delving deeper in the comments section, the husband added that he found it "weird" how his wife seemed "thirsty for attention," noting: "We're in our 30s, and she legit has a husband. Our daughters are too young yet to know anything about it. They just smile and pose.", reports the Express US.

He continued: "I definitely disagree with some of the things she does. It's weird as hell and it's not just me (for some reason I thought maybe I was crazy). Things are gonna have to change." His post set off a heated discussion among the community.

Many sided with the father, with one person writing: "She's setting your kids up for major problems with unrealistic beauty standards." Another said: "Someone is setting their kids up for a bunch of body image issues when they get older." A third pointed out: "Basically the message is, 'you don't look fine like you are. Let mommy fix you. We don't want anybody to see you how you really look."

Several users suggested that the mother should not post her kids online in any way. One person said: "I would not post my kids online at all - too many weirdos." While another advised: "Take a closer look at who's genuinely looking at those photos your wife keeps posting online. It's NOT other mommies! " warned another user.

Even more users weighed in, with one writing: "Those pictures land in some unsavoury corners of the internet. Your wife seeking validation from strangers on social media using your kids, is truly alarming."
